CPPSEC3002A Manage Conflict Through Negotiation This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to use effective communication techniques to manage a conflict situation. It requires the ability to assess security risk situations, accurately receive, interpret and relay information, adapt communication styles and techniques to varying social and cultural environments, and evaluate responses. CPPSEC3003A Determine Response to Security Risk Situation This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to determine an appropriate response to a security risk situation. It requires the ability to analyse the nature and degree of risk and determine response options according to changing circumstances. CPPSEC3007A Maintain Security of Environment This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to maintain the safety and security of premises. It requires the ability to communicate effectively, maintain operational safety and respond appropriately to security risk situations. CPPSEC3013A Control Persons Using Empty Hand Techniques This unit of competency specifies the outcomes required to select and apply appropriate empty hand techniques. It requires the ability to use force in circumstances where there is a risk to safety of self and others. Competency also requires knowledge of the procedures for conducting an arrest.
